New sales team gets on board with MAN
MAN's Bus & Coach Division has captured the services of three high-profile
industry executives – Julie Hartley, John Hill and Shaun Miller. With well over
20 years front line sales experience in some of the industry's leading manufacturers,
their arrival at MAN further bolsters the new direct sales strategy for both MAN
and NEOPLAN products.
The new MAN Coach Sales team is headed up by General Manager, John Hill. John joins
MAN from Evobus, where he had been managing the used vehicle activity of the business.
John has been in the bus and coach industry for some 25 years and has broad experience
in engineering and sales and has even spent time behind the wheel in the early stages
of his career.
Now, at MAN, he says, “I am looking forward to a new period of personal development
and the chance to help Vince Welsh and the rest of the team to grow something big.”
Alongside John Hill, the new MAN Coach Sales team also boasts another well-seasoned
industry individual in the shape of Shaun Millar, who has joined as a Coach Sales
Executive.
Like John, Shaun Millar has been in the industry for over 20 years, though, unlike
John, he has always had a role on the sales side. Shaun has worked for Kirkby Coach
& Bus, the Plaxton owned dealership, prior to moving to EvoBus.
He said, “When I heard the news of MAN's exciting new venture I felt I
had something to contribute. MAN is the last major manufacturer to set up its own
operation and that said ‘potential’ to me – I had to make a choice,
and I'm very happy with the choice I have made. Then, when John arrived, that
was the icing on the cake. We knew each other well of course, and it's great
to be back in harness together.”
Julie Hartley also joins the company as Coach Sales Executive, and also comes with
over 20 years industry experience, including eight years latterly with EvoBus and
Mercedes Benz.
“I'm thrilled by this new challenge,” she said, “especially
at a time when MAN is effectively re-launching its bus and coach business in the
UK. To be involved from the very start means the pressure's on, but we have
great confidence in the product range, knowing we can more than match our competitors'
offerings – and that goes for aftersales too.”
